Shipwrecked Restaurant Airlie Beach
The architects were asked to design a new restaurant deck as an addition to a clunky building on The Esplanade at Airlie Beach. We tried marrying the design to the existing building form. Nothing worked! We loosened up the design, it became spikey and angular. We presented it to the client as Mad Max gets shipwrecked.
The client was a sailor. He named the restaurant Shipwrecked.
